Director of Development and Construction

Mr. McDonald is responsible for the overall operational level of daily management of project design, permitting and construction administration activities for all of the Penrose Group’s development projects. Major developments include (1) King Farm, a 430 acre, neo traditional urban design mixed use community containing 3,200 residential dwelling units, 125,000 sf of retail and over 3 million sf of office space (One, Two, Three and Four Irvington Centre and garages); (2) the Marriot Courtyard hotel at 9th and F streets, NW Washington D.C. a 188-unit suite hotel within a historically renovated bank building; (3) Rosslyn Residence Inn, a 176 unit suite hotel; (4) the Gallery at Virginia Square a 230 unit luxury high-rise apartment project; (5) the Gallery at Rosslyn, a 314 unit luxury high-rise apartment project. Mr. McDonald holds a BS in Civil Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is an associate member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Construction Specifications Institute, the Design-Build Institute of America and the Construction Management Association of America.
